One moment in history where the written word directly effected a moment in history was when the Constitution was written. This document directly effected the morals that this country is based on. This is one of the most important historical documents of the United States. The Constitution didn't just effect the time it was presently written. Even today after centuries, we still use the Constitution as a base of our government.

the constitution of independence was one huge written word that effected a moment in history. this document basically shaped this county today. if this written document wasn't written then there would be no American. We would be just another colony of England or any other country that decided to come in. but this work of excellence made is independent.

The Constitution gave hope to English colonists trying to make a life in the New World. That document was what made them fight as hard as they did. It was and still is the backbone of our country today. That masterpiece was looked over time and time again, to make sure that the virtues and things that we fought for would be maintained for future centuries to come.

Manifesto of the communist party, or the communist manifesto as it is more often called, was a book written by Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx was a book solely about the ideals of communism. It has been the staple of revolutions in Russia, China, and all other communist countries. The communist manifesto simply says the ideas of a once little understood political party. The idea of communism is to create one class of people so there can be no revolutions and the government will not be overthrown because almost every revolution or rebellion is due to class struggles. People, mostly lower class, in some countries, like russia, found it quite appealing that they had a chance of no longer being the lower class and everyone could be equals. These people sparked large revolutions and overthrew their governments and put communist governments in place of them. Who ever knew thatsuch a simple idea written down in a book could cause so many things to happen.

- The written word has played a large role in affecting history. The written word sparked and fueled the American revolution with documents like Common Sense (by Thomas Payne) and the Constitution. However, one of the most important aspects of history that the written word has attributed too was deciphering dead languages, thus unlocking unimaginable knowledge, via the Rosetta Stone.
___
- The Rosetta Stone was a single passage written in three different languages. Two of the languages were forms of Egyptian that no one knew how to translate. However the last passage was in Greek. Since people knew Greek, they were able to apply their knowledge and eventually translate and learn Egyptian. This suddenly made hundreds of years worth of Egyptian history available to scholars and eventually the general public.

The Constitution was an exceptionally important part of history that involved words, but also changed America. This life-changing document effected the way the United States functioned as a whole. Not only did it bring us closer together, but it changed the way other countries looked upon us. We became more of a whole when this document was finally published and made public

A specific time in history that was affected by the written word was when scholars and historians came across the ancient egyptian hieroglyphics. Through lots of research and studies these people realized the importance of writing to the egyptian empire. That is how we now know that writing was a privilege at the time and how only people from certain backgrounds were allowed to train to become scribes. The hieroglyphic system is still something students continue to learn about today. Although this isn't a specific moment in history, I believe by discovering this ancient form of writing we learned more about egyptian history and the importance of writing on different civilizations.

6. The declaration was a written document in history that affected all of us. Without this document, we never would have officially been separated from England. The declaration gave specific reasons of why we were separating from England. If this document had not been written, we would be somehow connected to England still, and would not be the same as we are today. Our government would probably be different, our technology would probably be different, and many more things. Without being able to write out the declaration of independence, we would not be the country we are today, or the society we are today. Writing has helped us be the country we are today.

When the Rosetta Stone was translated into three languages, it was an important moment in history. That one piece of "writing" developed our community today. I would say that the Rosetta Stone was an important piece of writing, and it has changed the way writing has been viewed throughout time. This is all because of the Latin translation on the stone, which helped people uncover the Egyptian written on the stone. This was a huge advancment in culture at the time, all because of this one piece of writing.
